About Christiane
I have always been a photographer.
I think I was born with the ability to capture the world in rectangles or squares. Whenever I look at anything I keep on framing mental images.
When my son was 7 years old and we were driving along the ocean at sunset on a particular glorious evening, I said "I so wished I had brought my camera", he looked at me and replied "but Mom, aren't you glad you brought your eyes! "
With or without a camera I am constantly taking photos.
I studied photography in Nashville TN and graduated in 1981 http://www.nscc.edu/. More recently I have attended the Maine Photographic workshops http://www.theworkshops.com/ and the New England school of Photography http://www.nesop.com/ for many summer workshops and/or evening classes.
I am still shooting color and black and white, still doing a little bit of printing but am now completely seduced by digital and the endless possibilities.
I have photographed kids, weddings and family reunions. I have traveled in the US, Australia, China, India, North Africa, Europe and have finally settled down in my favorite city: Paris, France. (I am originally a French native who majored in French literature and history in Liège, Belgium)
I love Paris, the architecture, the quality of life, the beautiful markets and fresh produce, the wine and cheese, the variety of flowers, the sidewalk cafes, the change of light from one hour to the next.
I know Paris better than most Parisians as I am on the streets of various arrondissements every day enjoying every minute of it along with the many changes of light and weather.
I am looking forward to sharing all this with you.
