If you're looking for a great value private tour guide in Paris, my sister and I recently took a Da Vinci Code tour with a guide from www.ParisPhotoTours.com. It's run by a small group of local American women (Chris, who was our guide, is Belgian, but has lived in the States) who are fun, smart, and best of all, passionate about the city. Chris' comments were so insightful and brought the book to life.
The cost was more than reasonable and worth every penny. It was a great way to see Paris, and when I go back I will bring a few girlfriends to take their Chocolate Tour (and make sure my camera battery is charged)! Three cheers to a fabulous day; so refreshing to have "new blood" on the Paris private tour guide scene."
