=I met Gabrielle while she was traveling with her mom in Paris and Italy. Gabrielle wanted to have her senior year photo taken in Paris and we did that. She had 3 outfits with her, all very pretty and different ideas for her photos as she is herself a good photographer and all together “artsy” person.

This is not a photo that will make the year book. I however like it a lot even if it does not go past these pages.

Velibs… the latest thing in Paris. Sometimes you cannot find one and other times they are all there. Gabrielle could be the poster girl for velibs as far as I am concerned.

Gabrielle wore a different dress that compliments that strawberry sorbet perfectly.
We took over 200 photos and here are just a few. Gabrielle is starting her senior year with a desire to pursue a career in arts and entertainment. She certainly has all it takes!
Meeting her and her mother was a lot of fun. We all spent a good day and I wish Gabrielle the best she can get with her many talents (she is an excellent photographer as I was able to witness).

Lane and Pat celebrated their 25th anniversary in Paris. He planned it all at the American church, hired a photographer, discussed flowers and all details.

Here they are happily walking by the Seine. Pat had an idea that something special was going to happen but she was not sure what. At any rate, she was thrilled.

A short break at Tuileries gardens. I am noticing that some leaves are already falling. There has been a lot of wind in Paris this year and rain yes, but not that much.

Still crazy after all those years. I love that spot in the Tuileries. I think Lane and Pat liked my idea! It was fun to spend time with a happily married couple who enjoy each other’s company a lot. We have an appointment to meet for their 50th!

It is 10:00 pm on July 11, a beautiful night to go to Eiffel tower to see it illuminated in blue. It starts “sparkling” when I am near the merry-go-round.

At 10:30 there is still plenty of color in the sky.

At 11:00 it sparkes again but sky is dark by now. Fireworks are scheduled at 10:45 on July 14 for Bastille day.

When photographing, it is a good idea to sometimes including a sign. It gives image a real sense of place and …it helps your memory.

Fauchon and its new colors definitely adds interest to an otherwise grey building.

Similar image with classic Parisian light fixture.

Great building to play with wide angle.

Church reflected in store window.

One more reflection for self portrait.

Grand Palais

Galeries Lafayette.

Dome in Brasserie Flo in Printemps.

Bibliotheque Richelieu.

The glass dome/structure I probably see the most is the one at Terminal 2F CDG.

I always like walking around the Daniel Buren sculptures at Palais Royal. They provide a good photo opportunity as well as a great playground for kids on rollerblades etc. (not to be seen at this early hour). A surprise was this Paris sign in white chalk. It is now gone.

Also at Palais Royal, umbrellas at this restaurant are in touch with the Daniel Buren style.

Fountains at Place de la Concorde, different each time depending on time of day and water flow.

Street leading to Sacre Coeur, the way Utrillo painted it.

I took this photo on the free museum night. Streets away from museums were somewhat empty and quiet and it was very pleasant to walk around enjoying the beautiful late light.

A different view of Eiffel Tower taken from merry-go-round near by.

Stairs in Montmartre. Not the “famous” one but interesting with shops on street below.
