Ian proposed on May 22nd. Sarah WAS surprised as trip was work related. Both were very moved which is always great to witness.

Lovely ring.

Doing the sites… Eiffel Tower first, now Champs Elysees with Arc de Triomphe in the back. It was a hot sunny day, probably the first one in May this year.

We checked Tiffany out to see if the ring had sibblings.

A refreshing stroll through Palais Royal.

And to one of my favorite spots: le pont des Arts with views of Louvre and Seine.
And the next day, surprise on the Champs Elysees that were changed into total nature !

In Paris from Australia LL knows how to have a good time.
Today is a holiday in Paris (lundi de Pentecote) and a little too quiet for her taste.
Still Fauchon is an exquisite Gourmet take out food,

In front of Fauchon with beautiful Madeleine reflecting in the windows.

Member of Paris cleaning team does not want to miss a beat !

Time to order a cafe creme! And a croissant with it.

Great nature photos on Champs Elysees for a “nature week end”. A bit crowded but some interesting displays.

My good friend Linda originally from Texas has been living in Paris for close to 10 years now and nine years ago she started a blog for her family and friends which became very popular. To celebrate her 9 years of blogging, she is giving this beautiful pendant to the winner of a drawing that you can enter by visiting her blog “Frenchless in France” under

This is a typical walk that I would take in my neighborhood. Start at Arc de Triomphe and go South on Blvd Malesherbes or Rue du Faubourg Saint Honore. We are not far from Parc Monceau here.

I love Parisian cafes especially in the morning when they are being set up and crowds have not arrived yet.

Sunflowers and a beautiful shop.

And finally, one of those wonderfully peaceful courtyards. I end up the day with a movie to make it a fabulous Parisian day !

We actually walked from Montmartre to Louvre with a few stops on the way.

After many months of renovation, the Daniel Buren sculpture is finally there to enjoy again

And if you prefer a more classic design, just walk around the corner to Place Colette.
