Couple at Eiffel Tower

There are many ways to photograph the Eiffel tower but when people are included in the photo it is a challenge to keep everything and everyone  in proportion. I always look for new angles and am very happy with this one.

I also like this “cool” looking couple!

Couple near Notre Dame

Notre Dame also presents a challenge mostly trying to avoid crowds in the photo.

Couple in Paris

This image does not have “Paris” written all over but it is still my favorite. It has all the Parisian atmosphere that I love.

Wedding on Pont des Arts

Mickael and Maryse, very handsome on Pont des Arts on a warm late September morning. I will post a few more photos later.

Luxembourg gardens

This is a glorious time of year in Paris. Temperature is very comfortable in afternoon and colors are getting wonderful. Not quite New England, but a great place to be right now.

Photo near Eiffel Tower

Laurie and Dan came to Paris to celebrate their anniversary.

Near Eiffel Tower

We started the afternoon near Eiffel Tower. I always try to find new angles for this too often photographed monument.

Peace monument near Eiffel Tower

I like this image through the Peace monument. Word Peace is written in different languages on columns and glass structures that make the monument very light and non obstructive.

Sacre Coeur from narrow street

After a stop on Champs Elysees and Arc de Triomphe, we went to Montmartre.

Accordeon in Montmartre

These street “musicians” were a little drunk but a good addition to our picture.

Panorama in Montmartre

And finally, a moment to enjoy the view on a particularly clear day.

Senior yearbook in Paris

=I met Gabrielle while she was traveling with her mom in Paris and Italy. Gabrielle wanted to have her senior year photo taken in Paris and we did that. She had 3 outfits with her, all very pretty and different ideas for her photos as she is herself a good photographer and all together “artsy” person.

Senior yearbook photo in Paris

This is not a photo that will make the year book. I however like it a lot even if it does not go past these pages.

Senior year book photo in Paris

Velibs… the latest thing in Paris. Sometimes you cannot find one and other times they are all there. Gabrielle could be the poster girl for velibs as far as I am concerned.

Senior year book photo in Paris

Gabrielle wore a different dress that compliments that strawberry sorbet perfectly.

We took over 200 photos and here are just a few. Gabrielle is starting her senior year with a desire to pursue a career in arts and entertainment.  She certainly has all it takes!

Meeting her and her mother was a lot of fun. We all spent a good day and I wish Gabrielle the best she can get with her many talents (she is an excellent photographer as I was able to witness).

A 25th anniversary in Paris

Lane and Pat celebrated their 25th anniversary in Paris. He planned it all at the American church, hired a photographer, discussed flowers and all details.

A walk by the Seine near Pont Neuf

Here they are happily walking by the Seine.  Pat had an idea that something special was going to happen but she was not sure what. At any rate, she was thrilled.

Sitting at Tuileries

A short break at Tuileries gardens. I am noticing that some leaves are already falling. There has been a lot of wind in Paris this year and rain yes, but not that much.

At Rodin’s statue near Musee de l’Orangerie

Still crazy after all those years.  I love that spot in the Tuileries. I think Lane and Pat liked my idea! It was fun to spend time with a happily married couple who enjoy each other’s company a lot. We have an appointment to meet for their 50th!

July 08 at Eiffel Tower

It is 10:00 pm on July 11, a beautiful night to go to Eiffel tower to see it illuminated in blue. It starts “sparkling” when I am near the merry-go-round.

Evening near Eiffel Tower

At 10:30 there is still plenty of color in the sky.

Eiffel Tower on July 11

At 11:00 it sparkes again but sky is dark by now. Fireworks are scheduled at 10:45 on July 14 for Bastille day.

K and R at market

When two pretty California girls walk around a Parisian market they are bound to get some attention!

Boulevard de la Madeleine

When photographing, it is a good idea to sometimes including a sign. It gives image a real sense of place and …it helps your memory.

Madeleine church and Fauchon’s colors

Fauchon and its new colors definitely adds interest to an otherwise grey building.

Madeleine church and traditional light fixture

Similar image with classic Parisian light fixture.

Madeleine church detail

Great building to play with wide angle.

Madeleine church reflection

Self portrait

One more reflection for self portrait.
